How To Get LinkedIn Working For Your Business

LinkedIn is THE business network.  It’s where millions of people, including your potential clients and customers, hang out. More often, it’s also their first port of call when checking out suppliers.

It’s also:

✔ Another website for your business. Google loves LinkedIn so having a LinkedIn profile (and company page) provides you with another online presence for free!

✔ A prospecting tool which you can use to find and connect with your prospects; gather insights and build relationships

✔ The closest equivalent to face to face networking you can get online. It has been described by TechRepublic as the “de facto tool for professional networking“.

✔ Great for lead generation. According to HubSpot (a well-known inbound marketing agency) LinkedIn is 277% more effective for lead generation than other social media platforms.

✔ The No 1 social referral source driving up to 4 times more traffic to your website than other social media platforms. (E-consultancy)

Setting the foundation for success on LinkedIn

Success on LinkedIn starts with your LinkedIn profile. It’s where you position you and your business, so your audience gets the right impression of you, your brand, your expertise and your credibility.

The best way to approach your profile is to think of it as a mini website that gets you found and noticed both on LinkedIn and Google.

It’s got to engage, create curiosity and build rapport.

It needs to encourage your potential client to take action, whether that’s a connection request, an email, or a click-through to your website. And, you only have seconds to capture their attention.
